About Me

Bill Stengl - CEPA®

Bill has spent more than 25 years in the marine industry operating a family dealership that specialized in providing exceptional service to its customers.  During his tenure, he has developed a keen understanding of the demands and rewards of owning a small business, as well as the many factors in play when it comes time to think about moving on from your life’s work. Over the years, Bill has developed tremendous relationships within the industry through 20-groups, manufacturer partnerships, and industry associations. These relationships, along with strong analytical skills and a desire to serve others make him uniquely qualified to help other marine dealers grow their businesses and/or plan and execute a successful exit.

Bill has founded WRS Consultants to help small business owners maximize the value of their most significant asset and give back to the industry that has been such a huge part of his life. He is a Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA®) and member of the International Business Brokers Association (IBBA®).  Bill has worked with some of the top lower middle market business brokers in the country as well as all the top training and consulting firms in the marine, RV, and powersports industries.

Bill is a Summa cum Laude graduate from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in business and finance.  He has served on numerous civic and non-profit boards and committees. Bill is an active private pilot and aircraft owner which he leverages to facilitate business and leisure travel.  He lives in the Charleston, SC area and northern Wisconsin with his wife Britt.
